Elisabetta Ruspini is senior Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy, where she coordinates (2015-2018) the BA Course STCL-Tourism Sciences and Local Community Studies. Since 2012 she coordinates the Research Section “Studi di Genere” (Gender Studies), as part of the AIS (Associazione Italiana di Sociologia-Italian Sociological Association). She is a board member of the ESA Research Network 33 “Women’s and Gender Studies”. Her research interests include: The social construction of gender; Gender and the generational turnover; Family change; New forms of parenthood; Men and masculinities; Gender identity and sexual orientation discriminations; Social inequalities; Gender and poverty; Gender and religion; Religious values and beliefs across generations; Gender and tourism; Tourism, interfaith dialogue and peace; Tourism and generational changes; Future studies.
