Projects Coordinator at the Institute for Tourism, Travel and Culture, University of Malta
Giusy Cardia is the Projects Co-ordinator at the Institute for Tourism, Travel and Culture of the University of Malta. She supports both the local and the international aspects of projects from the pre-award to the post-award phase. After graduating in Law in Italy and Spain, she specialized in tourism, obtaining a MA in Sciences of Tourism in 2006, an MPhil in 2011 and a PhD in Tourism in 2016 at the Antonio de Nebrija University of Madrid (Spain) obtaining a summa cum laude qualification. She has over 10 years-experience as practitioner, consultant and researcher in tourism and culture fields. Over the last 4 years she has delivered lectures in tourism and culture related topics to BA and MA students at the University of Malta. She has participated in several international seminars, workshops, and conferences, and has authored and edited various articles on topics related to tourism, culture, and sustainable development.
