Rimini (Italy), 5th May 2023 . TTG Travel Experience, the tourism exhibition to be held in Rimini (Italy) from 11th to 13th October, will be blowing out 60 candles and celebrating with important new entries. The event organised by Italian Exhibition Group with the international sales leadership for Italian tourism destinations, is preparing to explore two additional market segments: foreign Mediterranean destinations with TTG MED and luxury tourism with Luxury Event by TTG. With the first initiative, IEG aims to respond to the interest for some tourist markets in the Mediterranean area that foreign buyers made explicit following the 2022 edition. This is an important signal to broaden the exchange of supply and demand to foreign markets on the Rimini marketplace, which will start this year with Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, Jordan and Morocco. With Luxury Event by TTG, the Rimini event will target the luxury tourism segment through a B2B workshop designed to facilitate meetings between buyers and sellers of high-end services in all its various aspects: destinations, hospitality, airlines, services and experiences.
Moreover, the new InOut format for the contract industry . that originates from the successes of SIA Hospitality Design, SUN Beach&Outdoor Style and Superfaces - and includes the new Greenscape, will be staged at the same time as TTG. A major IEG project, it aims specifically at key professionals in hospitality industry management. In fact, in a single event staged in the East Wing, they will find a complete catalogue ranging from furnishing trends for hotels, to outdoor camping and glamping in the historic SIA Hospitality Design brand; cladding and materials for architecture with Superfaces; equipment and furnishings for seaside tourism with SUN Beach&Outdoor; and the new Greenscape for designing outdoor or indoor spaces in dialogue with nature in gardens, terraces or greenhouses.
TTG MED, RIMINI AS A ´BUSINESS MARKETPLACE´ FOR MEDITERRANEAN DESTINATIONS
One of TTG Travel Experience´s distinctive assets is having nurtured an ongoing dialogue with its interlocutors in order to intercept their needs and satisfy them: that is why, over the years, the event has been able to build and profile a solid community of foreign buyers from all over the world (especially from the USA, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, South America and Canada). When questioned after the 2022 edition, buyers expressed a strong interest (86% of the sample) not only in Italy as a destination - which last year saw an increase in arrivals from abroad amounting to 41.8 million (ISTAT) - but also in other tourist markets, in particular in the Mediterranean area. Hence the idea of developing TTG MED. With this initiative, TTG Travel Experience widens the range of contracts offered to exhibitors through business meetings designed to encourage satisfy the demand of buyers worldwide and the offer of sellers from the entire Mediterranean area, Italy included. A choice that increases the event´s importance in the international panorama of tourism trade shows.
TTG AIMS AT THE LUXURY MARKET
According to Renaissance in Uncertainty: Luxury Builds on Its Rebound, an Altagamma study conducted by Bain&Company, the luxury hospitality market has risen on a global scale to 191 billion, more than doubling its value in 2022 with 110% year-on-year growth at current exchange rates. An upward trend that also suggests a positive reading of the sales figure, still 7% lower in absolute terms than in 2019, which can be interpreted as room for further development. The report also states that growth has been steady in all regions since, with the fall of travel restrictions, high spenders have finally been able to achieve the travel ambitions previously blocked by Covid. That is why the 2023 edition of TTG Travel Experience will see the debut of Luxury Event by TTG, a B2B event dedicated to luxury travel that specifically targets industry professionals. On the day before the start of the trade show, a business event will be organised with the most qualified international buyers to encourage one-to-one meetings between high-end tourism operators and to further boost this particular segment of the travel industry, contributing to the development of new business agreements.
THREE DAYS OF TRAVEL IN THE GLOBAL MARKET
The 2023 edition of TTG Travel Experience will be held in the West area of Rimini Expo Centre and will be divided into three main exhibition areas: the Italy section, which groups together the national tourism offer, the Global Village, which gathers the offer of tour operators and companies providing products and services for tourism, and The World with all the foreign destinations. These will be joined by BeActive, which will focus on the increasingly sought-after trend of active tourism, both in nature with cycle tourism, and in unconventional routes between Italy and abroad, with product clubs and specialised tour operators.
The event will also feature three Arenas where professionals, market analysts, the most important voices in the industry and trade associations will share data, trends and perspectives for the audience of professionals coming to Rimini. TTG Travel Experience is, in fact, already at work to create the 2023 edition of Think Future, the ample schedule of events, talks, seminars and round tables designed to provide up-to-date content and tools for the community of tourism professionals. A veritable event within an event that, in 2022, organised more than 200 happenings over the three days of the show. Book&Go, for imagining and finding travel suggestions with new perspectives to make to agency clients, and TTG Star, which every year awards key players in Italian tourism, will also be back. Great expectations too for the presentation of Vision +24, the event that inspires the tourism industry of the near future by presenting the most significant trends and innovations in the global world of consumption, placing them at the operators´ disposal.
THE NEW INOUT FORMAT: DESIGN, MATERIALS AND HOSPITALITY FURNISHINGS
How will the next holiday be organised, in a hotel room or in glamorous tent? Hitech, open air, sophisticated? The answers will be found at InOut, the new Italian Exhibition Group format dedicated to the design of new solutions for tourist hospitality, to be held on the same days as TTG in the East wing of Rimini Expo Centre. Materials and surfaces, hotel room or glamping facility design, swimming pools and bathing establishment furnishings, right through to floral and green arrangements that bring nature into enclosed spaces or create authentic rooms in open spaces. These will be the main attractions of the first edition of InOut, where the best Made in Italy companies will have the opportunity to present their innovations to designers and architects in order to suggest new structural, furnishing and design solutions for hospitality, both inside and out, satisfying the need for those guest experiences that travellers are increasingly looking for during their holidays, which include unique living proposals.
Thanks to the contemporaneity between TTG and INOUT, IEG aims to provide the marketplace, organised tourism and the contract industry community with greater circularity and completeness. A real strategic asset devised at a time when, in order to win international competition in terms of tourist flows, knowing how to evolve and renew is an absolute necessity.
